“The 'wagyu' of salmon ”

King salmon is a fish worthy of its name.

The premium species of salmon, King salmon is prized above the Atlantic and other generic varieties for its characteristic rich flavour, delicate soft texture and high Omega-3 content. King salmon is much harder to grow than Atlantic salmon, but yields a much higher quality product.

New Zealand growers are focussed on nurturing the salmon throughout their natural growth cycle to ensure fish welfare and guarantee high quality and safe salmon for the consumer.

As well as being produced in a healthy environment, King salmon from New Zealand offers significant health & nutritional benefits. The King salmon variety has the highest natural oil content of all salmon varieties – making it a rich source of healthy Omega-3. This high natural oil content is also believed to offer taste advantages, providing a more tender and delicate texture.

As such, New Zealand has gained a strong reputation of delivering superior quality King salmon, enjoyed in New Zealand and around the world.
